Function

Management:
1.    To plan and administer overall management of  department.
2.    To intensify efforts in providing training to improve the officers and staffs’ knowledge and skills.
 
Planning Control:
1.    To provide comments for application on conversion, subdivision ,partition and amalgamation referred by the Land Office.
2.    To provide comments on site planning application.
3.    To provide comments on building plan application.
4.    To advise on planning inquiries and counter services.
5.    To provide unclassified planning information.

Policy planning and Appeal Board:
1.    To perform secretariat duties of the State Planning Committee.
2.    To perform the duties of Appeal Board registrar.
3.    To plan and manage human resources and training.

Development Planning and Special Projects:
1.    To prepare and review the State Structure Plan.
2.    To coordinate preparation of Development Plan as follows:
o    District Local Plan
o    Special Area Plan
o    Rural Development Plan

To provide Special Project Services:

  1. Development Concept Plan
  2. Development Layout Plan
